A Moment Electric
A Moment Electric

“A Moment Electric is an Upstate-based quartet that combines elements of the old and new into an exciting, unique sound. The band starts with the best aspects of late 1960s psychedelia, expanding its songs into alternately intense and ambient experimental jams.

But A Moment Electric also mixes in some modern rock muscle, adding heavy riffs and sharply melodic hooks to keep the music focused. It’s a surprisingly sophisticated sound for a band that’s only been together since 2013.”
- Vincent Harris .

Air Sculptures
Air Sculptures

Lift on up into an alternate place with the uniquely melodic yet edgy fusion rock of Air Sculptures. The sultry and nuanced vocals of Sara Coy float over a melodic soundscape of guitars, bass, and drums . . . rock that's been forged into shape with the blowtorches of many colors, including classic rock, fusion jazz, blues, americana, and funk.

Vocals
Sara Coy | Vocals
Sara Coy- Supreme Commander of Lead Vocals Originally from an obscure village in the western hemisphere, after traveling the world for twenty-ish years, Sara has come to call Charleston the home base of her endeavors.
Sara has made the interesting transfer of experience in theatre to the quantum rock realm . . a veteran of the Charleston theatre scene, Sara has performed with no less than six of the local theatre companies.

Guitars and songwriting
JC (Chris) McNeil | Guitars and songwriting
At the age of 17, inspired by the sounds of Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, JC (AKA "Chris") picked up the guitar and has hardly put it down since. Many years later, while recovering from a traumatic blender accident, he got serious about music and applied himself to learning music theory. JC has employed synesthesia strategies to practice and composition and a unique way of relating musical scales to a set of correspondences from mythology. McNeil’s improvisational style has been described as "Spacey Shred". Other influences include John Scofield, Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, and Allan Holdsworth.

Bass
Dave Kern | Bass
Bassist Dave Kern, originally from Bethesda, Maryland, has now been living in Charleston 12 years. In Charleston, many may be familiar with him as a jazz bassist at the Mistral restaurant on Market Street.
Dave has played in styles ranging from 1960's style garage rock and rockabilly original rock in the DC area to jazz standards in the Charleston area.

Drums
Dan Stacy | Drums
Drummer Dan Stacy got his start with local bands in the '70s playing downtown clubs and The Dancing Bear out on Folly Beach with White Dog and Piecework bands. After a tour in the Navy, he returned in the mid '80s to join The Nerve/Tin Catz for more of the same at Myskins, The Windjammer, Malibu East, The Sand Dollar, Berts, etc., etc. Dan relocated to New Orleans where he performed with numerous acts while taking lessons from notable Nawlins drummers.

Guitars
Tommy Nelson | Guitars
Growing up in Charleston, Tommy first began playing guitar in high school, and he soon started a band that no one now would remember. In college, he became a more occasional player but still let his love for music lead him on countless road trips. In 2008, while watching one of his favorite bands live, a light bulb went off and Tommy couldn’t excuse himself for not being more proactive with his passion for music. He went back to daily practice, and began working with guitar guru Frank Carlier. After a short hiatus from playing in a local cover band, he was very excited to find his place in the fusion influenced sound of of Air Sculptures.

Atlas Road Crew
Atlas Road Crew

South Carolina rock 'n' roll shot with southern soul accents. Formed in fall of 2011, Atlas Road Crew is rapidly building one of the most loyal fan bases on the East Coast, packing venues to capacity from South Carolina to New York City, and expanding quickly to major US cities in between.

The overwhelming positive response to the band’s latest recorded effort Halfway to Hopkins, produced by Grammy Award winning producer Rick Beato, has this young band quickly becoming the South East’s “must see” live act of 2015.

Halfway to Hopkins is a sonic blast from start to finish, bringing swampy southern accents to fresh, contemporary tunes while managing to capture the band’s blistering live show prowess on tape. The title refers to a small community outside Columbia where the band lived for several years after graduating from the nearby University of South Carolina. “That house, which was halfway between Columbia and Hopkins on the southeast side of town, was where we really began to come together,” Says drummer Patrick Drohan. “We knew then we wanted to become more than just another bar band.”

Riding the momentum of the record release, Atlas Road Crew’s constant touring led them to a six week European tour in early 2016 followed by an aggressive US club and festival run. Aussie rock ‘n’ roll blog 100 Percent Rock sums it all up nicely in their review, saying in no uncertain terms “This is EXACTLY the sort of music we should be listening to right now: bands taking old favourites and adding new directions, writing great songs, delivering ace performances. This is the good stuff.”
