Artists that we consider managing have excellent singing voices and strong, commercially-viable original songs. They have a vision of where they want their career to lead them, but are open to advice and counsel. They understand that success comes from long hours in the recording studio and touring frequently for extended periods in the U.S. and ultimately the world. They are dedicated to perfecting their craft and committed to achieving success in the music industry.

Charles Wyke-Smith

CAM Founder
Charles has a long career in and around the music industry, which began with staging rock shows and business conferences while living in London. His first tour was as a lighting tech with Emerson, Lake and Palmer for their “Brain Salad Surgery” European tour. His roadie experience on tours with Pink Floyd, Santana and Tina Turner helped in him see what it takes to build and maintain a career as a major artist.
In 2013, Charles produced and staged Charleston Blues Revue, a limited run dinner show. The multimedia show featured a 10-piece live band and Charleston’s top vocalists.
He is also a guitarist and singer/songwriter and, when time allows, still performs around Charleston. After an extended diversion into the world of corporate web development, Charles decided to revisit his musical roots and establish Charleston Artist Management. He saw many talented local artists struggling to take their careers to the next level, and felt he could put his music experience and business knowledge to help them achieve success.
