Jasper Variety Show/Mag Release Party

October 13 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join us for The Jasper Project’s first ever Variety Show & Magazine Release Party with Jasper Artist of the Year in Theatre Finalist Mandy Applegate Bloom as your host for a casual, intimate evening featuring artists highlighted in the new (& previous) Jasper Magazines.

Mandy will be talking with cover artist Dogon Krigga!

Kayla Cahill with The Mothers: Improv Show! will keep us laughing!

Mark Rapp will perform some hot jazz as well as catch us up on what’s new and lasting about the Columbia jazz scene! (Fingers crossed that he’ll stick around for a post-show performance and party!)

Andrew Stinson Cfd will talk the art of design (and maybe we’ll challenge him to some spontaneous design & creation!)

Michael Krajewski will be on hand to “Mess with the Audience!”

We’ll be recognizing all the 2017 Jasper Artists of the Year Finalists including Mandy, Kari Lebby, Christopher Cockrell, Those Lavender Whales, FatRat Da Czar, Tyler Matthews, Cedric Umoja, Sean Rayford, Nicole Kallenberg Heere, Nicola Waldron, Don McCallister, and Al Black; and the 2017 2nd Act Film Festival 2017 Filmmakers including Chad Henderson, CoreyJon Nowell-Brown, Ethan Ravens, Carl Heyward Jr., Rachel Stanford Napolitano, Smith Austin, Justin Brown, Mario Johnson, Gail Shields, and Collins White with festival director Wade Sellers!

We’ll be honoring Bohumila Augustinova and the Yarnbombers of Columbia!

And more!

Join us for this sweet, intimate, lo-tech, living room – talk show experience. It’s a first for us and we want to see how you like it.

Tickets are $10 at the door. All artists are performing as Jasper guests. And all proceeds go directly toward the printing cost of this issue of Jasper Magazine.

Cash bar provided by your friends at Tapp’s Arts Center!
