SCMG – What was your biggest accomplishment in 2017?
L&R – Our biggest accomplishment in 2017 was releasing our debut studio EP “There & Back” that featured five original songs including a revisited version of our popular first single from 2015 “Addiction”. Other accomplishments we enjoyed were being invited into many great venues and playing for some awesome people!
SCMG – What are your plans for 2018?
L&R – Our plans for 2018 are to bring our music into more areas, and play for more awesome people and venues! We also plan to continue to write new original music and bring it to everyone around the end of the year!
SCMG – Where and when can we find you?
L&R – We have a variety of shows booked for 2018 already that can be found on our website at www.loveandrescueband.com! We will be in Anderson, SC at the beginning of March, and Greenville, SC around the middle of March. We would also love to be found anywhere near you sometime soon! SCMG – Who would you consider your biggest local influence?
L&R – One great thing we love about each other is our wide variety of influences. The five of us come from a variety of musical backgrounds and tastes in music that influenced us to pursue our passion and to create our music! Some of our biggest local influences would be Luke Combs, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Marcus King Band.
SCMG – What would they say about you?
L&R – Marcus King would probably say something like “Hey, aren’t you those guys that played before us that one time?”, while Gabe holds up the picture he got to take with him lol. Some of us have met the guys from NEEDTOBREATHE, and one day hope to hang out with Luke Combs! We would hope they could at least say “You know, those guys got it going on!”
SCMG – Who would you like to work with but haven’t yet had the chance?
L&R – Going back to our wide variety of musical tastes, depending on who you asked, they would say people like Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, Edwin McCain, Luke Combs, Dave Mathews Band, or Keith Urban.

Ryan: Keith Urban. He is an incredible performer, vocalist, and all around entertainer. He also just seems like he would be super cool to chill with.
Jonathan: Dennis Chambers. He had a significant influence on my playing over the years and has inspired me a ton.
Joey: Ed Sheeran. It would be awesome to get inspiration from him from a songwriting aspect. He is such a great songwriter and singer. His music is always so awesome too no matter which way he decides to go with it!
Derrick: Justin Timberlake. I would love to pick his brain on studio knowledge, creativity, writing skill, and just overall knowledge of the industry.
Gabe: Jonny Lang. He was an incredible influence to my guitar playing.
