South Carolina Flood Fundraisers in the Works

This past weekend, on October 3-4, South Carolina, and especially the Midlands area, was hit with devastating floods.  In response, not only has the state and the various communities rallied, but the music community is no exception.

Over the next several days, weeks and possibly months, fundraising benefit shows will be held throughout the state.  Efforts in the Midlands currently include confirmed shows at New Brookland Tavern, as well as a show that is in the works at the Music Farm for November 25th.

A local compilation relief album is also in motion as well.  You can check it out by going to South Carolina Flood Relief.  From what we understand, there will be two compilations to be released.  One compilation will contain previously recorded tracks.  While the other album will include artists covering songs by other musicians.  All of these fundraisers will donate the proceeds to the local charities.

Our friends over at Stereofly are organizing the compilations.  if you are a musician and would like to be involved, please email Greg at stereoflycollective@gmail.com.  This is a time sensitive situation, so please reach out as soon as possible.

We will try to continue to keep everyone informed and aware of these events as they unfold.
